Anyone else have a blood disorder and trying to have a birth without intervention? I have Von Willebrands disease, which is a clotting disorder, but really want to have as intervention-free birth as I can. Just wondering if anyone else out there has this or something similar and what they did in their birth plan about it.

Remind me, as I completely forget, but I was just informed that I was exposed to the chicken pox virus on Wednesday. Two of my son's playgroup friends came down with it, and we were all together on Wednesday. I have had chicken pox when I was a kid already. Has anyone had CVS testing done before? I will be having it at about 11 weeks even though I'm only 30 because I'm considered high-risk due to complications from my first pregnancy in 2010. I have myotonic dystrophy and my first born daughter also had it and passed away at six weeks after she was born. I'm pretty nervous about what it entails, ( Read more... )

Tailbone?

Are there ways to avoid cracking your tailbone during labor/delivery? Anything I could be doing now to prepare (~33wks)?

It happened with my son and plagued me for 6+ months after he was born. I want to do anything I can to avoid it this time around.

I posted on April 27th about possible bell's palsy. A lot has happened since then.
1. I did have bell's palsy.
2. 2 days later it spread to my whole face.
3. Doctors at my hospital were worried it would spread to my lungs, I got air lifted to Thomas Jefferson in Philly.
